WHAT IS THIS COLLECTION ABOUT?

This series of 4 paintings are of a topic that I have wanted to address for a long time and that is the 4 elements of nature: Fire, Earth, Air and Water

These elements are not only essential for life but their qualities and characteristics are present in all 3 planes of existence, physical, mental and spiritual. To keep us healthy, these elements must be maintained in harmony and balance.

Connecting with the four elements of nature—Earth, Water, Air, and Fire—holds profound significance for our well-being and harmony. These elements are not merely physical components of the world around us; they represent essential aspects of life that have been revered across cultures for centuries.

As human beings we need to connect with nature and be aware of each of these elements and understand their practical correspondence to know when there is a lack or excess of these elements in our lives and thus be able to achieve balance.

As we know, the elements influence each other, for example water extinguishes fire and air fuels it, earth gives shape and support to water and fire evaporates it.

Sometimes we are imbalanced in some of these elements and we cannot know what the problem is.

It is an ancient knowledge practised by shamans to heal people using the connection with these elements to regain balance and physical and emotional health.

To get strength we use fire, for example, taking a sunbath or giving a kiss or a loving hug can really help those who need a little of the strength of fire.

To get security and stability we use earth, for example walking barefoot on the ground, lying on the grass can help us feel more anchored and firm.

To get fluidity and flexibility, we use water, for example, swimming or taking a shower can help you free yourself from mental stagnation and think more freely.

To get creativity, vitality, expansion, movement and spirituality, we use air, for example, doing breathing exercises and meditation.

In these paintings the 4 elements are symbolically represented as a beauty full of vitality and movement that flows in an harmonious and serene way to bring a inspiration and balance to these elements in your life.
